Application of burned magnesium powder!

Magnesite is calcined at a temperature of 750-1100 ℃, known as "light calcination", and its product is called light calcined magnesium powder, abbreviated as light calcined powder. Light burned powder is mainly used to manufacture cementitious materials, building materials for insulation and sound insulation, and can also be used as ceramic raw materials.

Due to the fact that the reduction in magnesite burning is generally about 50%, the MgO content in the ore can be almost doubled through light burning. In this sense, light burning is the most effective method for MgO enrichment. In addition, light burning is also a preparatory operation for the thermal separation of magnesite and some heavy beneficiation. Light burned magnesium has high activity and is an ideal raw material for producing high volume dense magnesium sand.

Light burned magnesium is mainly used to manufacture cementitious materials, such as magnesium containing cement. Thermal insulation and sound insulation building materials can also be used as ceramic raw materials. After chemical treatment, light burned magnesium can be made into various magnesium salts, which can be used as raw materials in medicine, rubber, artificial fibers, papermaking, and other fields. Heavy burned magnesium, the vast majority of which is used as a refractory material in metallurgy, is used in the manufacture of magnesium bricks. Chromium magnesium bricks, magnesium sand, metallurgical powder, and fused magnesium oxide are mainly used for smelting special alloy steels. Medium to high frequency induction furnace lining and magnesium crucible for non-ferrous and precious metals. It can also be used as a high-temperature electrical insulation material.
